OK, this may...Yep, I am just waiting for the news.

OK, this may be too mundane and laypersonish. But how bout telling me why we need to immunize dogs and cats every year for rabies? Do vets reboost their rabies immunizations every year? ( I am assuming vets are immunized for rabies routinely.) And all those other animal vaccines, EVERY YEAR? I can understand flu vaccines, since the viruses change each year. Humans do not get yearly vaccinations once adult. If this is too dumb, just ignore it.foffmomnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9212251348411401170.post-57133547317511529452011-09-27T19:24:47.102-04:002011-09-27T19:24:47.102-04:00contagious eye diseases? we have something affecti...contagious eye diseases? we have something affecting our dogs. self limiting so far, but I'm interested.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06612738073966453343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9212251348411401170.post-79743209326635398252011-09-27T10:08:40.830-04:002011-09-27T10:08:40.830-04:00I would love to see a post on the top 5 things vet...I would love to see a post on the top 5 things vets wish pet owners knew that we don't. Would be interesting to see your perspective. For example, the story of the Sidlow family speaks to me deeply ("Mr. Sidlow rarely called us up during normal working hours as, after wrestling with his conscience for a few days, he always seemed to lose the battle around 11 o'clock at night.") Also, Mrs. Pumphrey and Tricki-woo ("(Tricki) was soon exhausted because he was given roughly twice the amount of food needed for a dog of his size. And it was the wrong type of food.").

Anyhow, you get the idea. If nothing else, James Herriot always reminds me that clients haven't changed much over the last 80 years or so.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9212251348411401170.post-24133742495028101512011-09-26T23:36:47.600-04:002011-09-26T23:36:47.600-04:00I think we are all holding our breath a little won...I think we are all holding our breath a little wondering when the little one will come. You don't have the comparative luxury of my tech who is scheduled for a C-section next Monday for her second little girl...

Doubt that I have a good idea for you, I've degenerated to whining a lot lately. What ever happened with the enucleation dog? How about a good memory story from when you were fresh out of school?

Best wishes!Dr. May B.
